Inspired by Crystals, this range of fabrics combines opulent tones with pleasing geometric designs and plaids, in the same way as the symmetrical structure of a crystal displays a delicate array of colour as light refracts through it. Having evolved over time, crystals take on many forms: diamonds, rubies, emeralds and snowflakes, to name but a few. Their structures are complex, but all demonstrate well defined and often pleasing geometric shapes and colourings.

Whether plain, or pin-dot stripe, maybe edged with hard-twist or subtle guard or shadow-stripe, the mohair suit is easily identifiable. Such tried and tested classics are under constant scrutiny however, and Holland & Sherry have added value by combining Summer Kid Mohair with superfine Escorial wool, and Camdeboo Mohair with Super 150s quality wool. The Snowy River region of Australia is peopled today by the descendants of the early settlers who introduced the original merino flocks into Australia over a century ago. Through careful breeding and a nutritional diet of fresh grass and herbs they have managed to refine the merino blood line which has led to the creation of premium fleeces with unique characteristics:

The word 'tweed' itself is an English variant on the Scottish word 'tweel' which referred to the wool cloth woven by hand by Scottish highlanders and island dwellers. The term has come to be associated with the river Tweed, which runs through Peebles, where Holland & Sherry's distribution warehouse is based, later becoming a description for all cardee spun wool.

The super fine merino wool is blended with hand combed cashmere, contributing to the unparalleled softness, lightness and warmth of the cloth. The finest fibres are gathered from the saddle of the Cashmere goat and are harvested by carefully combing the got's fleece during the spring months.

Trousers: The most classic style of trouser is with two forward facing pleats, as this ensures comfort when seated and better hang when standing. For the more fashion forward customer, the flat fronted trouser is a flattering option.

Jacket: The suit jacket can be in one of two styles; single or double breasted with any combination of buttons. The jacket's lapels may be otched, peaked, shawl, or indeed any other unconventional style. Each lapel style carries different connotations, and is worn with different cuts of suit.
