| ENGLISH MOHAIRS |
| 2 Piece Suit from - £2,461 / 3 Piece Suit from - £2,860 / Jacket from - £1,801 |
| Why choose a cloth with Summer Kid Mohair? Summer Kid Mohair is the fibre produced from the first shearing of a mohair goat. Because it is the first ever clip, the fibre tends to be the softest; subsequently the fibre produced becomes coarser. In this instance Holland & Sherry have selected the first clip from the mohair goat and blended it with 18.5 micron merino wool to produce a fabric that is... Durable - mohair is the most durable of all animal fibres. When blended with wool the lifespan and quality of the garment are enhanced. With the added benefit of the mohair fibres natural lustre the garment will always look impeccable. Resistant to soiling and creasing - the smooth scales of the mohair fibre stop dirt from becoming trapped and the fabric from becoming creased. Both wool and mohair fibres also benefit from having considerable natural stretch properties. Insulating - mohair is an insulator; wool is a conductor. Together, they produce the perfect fabric for both warmer and cooler climates. |

Due to the temperate climate the merino wools produced are generally no more than 18.5µ. The fibres are cleaner and stronger, resulting in a superior quality and high performance cloth. The fabrics in this collection are woven from a 2 by 2 twill weave construction, one of the oldest and simplest cloth structures that equally distribute the interlacing of yarn in both directions, thus producing a well-balanced cloth of clearly defined colour and design. In addition, the finished cloth has superior strength qualities that contribute to the wear and drape requirements of the final product. |

| HARRIS TWEED |
| 2 Piece Suit from - £2,338 / 3 Piece Suit from - £2,723 / Jacket from - £1,733 |
| Holland & Sherry is proud of its British heritage and continues to source cloth from textile manufacturers in Yorkshire and Scotland. The word 'tweed' itself is an English variant on the Scottish word 'tweel' which referred to the wool cloth woven by hand by Scottish highlanders and island dwellers. The term has come to be associated with the river Tweed, which runs through Peebles, where Holland & Sherry's distribution warehouse is based, later becoming a description for all cardee spun wool. The cloth Harris Tweed originates from the beautiful remote islands of the Outer Hebrides off the west coast of Scotland and has become one of the most famous wool textiles in the world. The unique selling point of Harris Tweed is its use of local materials and hand crafted techniques. The finished cloth is inspected and stamped on the reverse side with its trademark Orb, as certification and to promote and protect the name of Harris Tweed. Holland & Sherry's Harris Tweed colection incorporates the traditional warm, rustic colours, which have come to evoke the countryside and outdoor pursuits associated with Britishness |

| INTERCITY |
| 2 Piece Suit - £2,094 / 3 Piece Suit - £2,438 / Jacket - £1,564 |
|
The InterCity suiting collection has been designed specifically with the business environment in mind, combining handmade quality with hardwearing practicality. This is our opening line suit, traditionally British and heavy weight. We have taken inspiration from the nineteen forties and fifties when consumer taste demanded that suits be particularly hard wearing and durable. A city suit comprises of two main elements - the jacket and trouser, also described as a two piece suit. The waistcoat is an optional extra and may be favoured for a particularly smart working environment or important meeting. Trousers: The most classic style of trouser is with two forward facing pleats, as this ensures comfort when seated and better hang when standing. For the more fashion forward customer, the flat fronted trouser is a flattering option. Jacket: The suit jacket can be in one of two styles; single or double breasted with any combination of buttons. The jacket's lapels may be otched, peaked, shawl, or indeed any other unconventional style. Each lapel style carries different connotations, and is worn with different cuts of suit. Waistcoat: Almost always worn with suits prior to the 1940s. Waistcoats can be either single-breasted or double-breasted. |
